COVID today: Active cases top 14,000, with 302 in hospital

Here are the Arkansas Health Department numbers on COVID-19 in the state, compared with the numbers released yesterday.

Total cases: 875,200, an increase of 1,939 over the Thursday number.

Active cases: 14,144, up from 13,270

Deaths: 11,608, an additional eight.

Hospitalitalizations: 302, up from 299

In ICU: 54, down from 59

On ventilators: 8, down from 12

Standard disclaimers: Because of the rise in home testing, with results not forwarded to the Health Department, the numbers are believed to undercount state cases, perhaps dramatically.
