COVID today: 2,395 cases and 18 children hospitalized

Whoa. More evidence of a fourth “spike.”

Here are the Arkansas Health Department numbers on COVID-19 in the state, compared with the numbers released yesterday.

Total cases: 871,467, an increase of 2,395 over the Tuesday number.

Active cases: 12,505, up from 11,283

Deaths: 11,596, an increase of seven.

Hospitalitalizations: 277, up from 273

In ICU: 54, up from 53

On ventilators: 11, same as yesterday.

And this unhappy note: Arkansas Children’s Hospital reports 18 COVID patients. They had been down to zero.
